LOCATION: Louisville, KY

TRAVEL: Up to 20%

COMPENSATION: $70,800 - $83,300, depending on skill and experience, plus bonus based on individual and team performance


Manages supplier relationships for assigned product categories, ensuring supply and compliance with all Yum! Global food safety and quality standards.


* Ensure Compliance to Yum! Global/KFC Food Safety and Quality standards for assigned suppliers including audits and product evaluations
* Engage suppliers and build quality culture through summits, workshops, industry meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Lead Quality and Food Safety investigations resolving any product quality and/or product food safety concerns surfaced through operations and/or customer feedback; act as QA lead on Crisis Management Team for any product issues/removals for assigned products.
* Support supply chain and innovation partners with Supplier Approval Process for assigned categories, to evaluate business case
* Support supply chain partners' cost savings projects for Restaurant Margin improvement
* Lead Quality and Food Safety support with Product Development, Commercialization and Operations to ensure successful roll-out of promotions including supporting specifications and QAP development, production runs and evaluations
* Support nutrition lead in managing nutrition testing program to ensure internal nutrition goals and objectives are met
* Support internal auditing system lead with troubleshooting and reporting


The position has direct 1:1 interaction with managers in multiple functions (Food Safety, QA, R&D, Marketing, Operations, RSCS) as well as sister brands (TB, PH and Habit Food Safety/QA), suppliers and third-party auditors.


* Education/Certifications – Undergraduate degree from accredited 4-year university (or equivalent experience) – Science related field preferred
* Experience
* Years of Experience – Minimum 3-4 years' experience in restaurant support or supplier quality assurance role
* Ability to travel approximately up to 20% of time
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to present to senior leaders
* Understands partnership culture with ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
* Exceptional organization skills to effectively manage workload and schedule
* Problem solving and documentation skills to ensure appropriate investigation with documented resolution of issues
* Prior quality and/or food safety auditing experience (internal or external) preferred
